Qualifications

  • At least 4 - 5 years of professional experience as senior accountant or junior financial controller.
  • Experience in collaboration with a Share Service Center (offshore) is a plus.
  • Complete accounting expertise and good experience with tax-related issues.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Autonomous and able to take initiative to meet job objectives.

  • Guarantee statutory & tax filings within the given deadlines.
  • Ensure asset security & fair value through efficient inventory management.

DESIPRO Pte Ltd is Decathlon's Global Procurement & Trading Center entity, based in Decathlon Singapore headquarters. Its activity covers:

  • Finished goods and components procurement from 800 suppliers worldwide located in more than 40 countries
  • Trading to all Decathlon’s Retail Customs Zones
  • Supply and Logistics activities for 4 regional "Booster" warehouses located in Malaysia, Tangier (Morocco), Colombia & Mauritius
  • Procurement of International Freight services from freight carriers and forwarders

It is one of the group's largest entities with multicurrency & multi-billion trading transactions annually.

Responsibilities (Financial Controller)

Ensure compliance

  • Perform regular in-depth analysis on financials (BS, PnL, FCF), ensuring the integrity and financial accuracy of our books and records, and in compliance with IFRS / Tax / Group norms.
  • Guarantee Desipro statutory & tax filings (Audit, Tax, Transfer Pricing, surveys etc..) within the given deadlines
  • Ensure Desipro’s asset security & fair value (worldwide) through efficient inventory management & follow up processes (stock, fixed assets)
  • Perform a close AR ageing follow up & animation to ensure the minimum possible credit loss risk
  • Deliver all Month & Year end closing tasks on an accurate and timely basis
  • Perform all type of accounting entries (AP/AR/GL) & reconciliation, in 100% compliance with tax / IFRS / Group norms,
  • Achieve the team’s objectives through effective collaboration and communication with our partners i.e. GFS, DPPs, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Financial Planning or with the group partners.
  • Understand and operate within Decathlon’s corporate organization (norms, methods, tools, policies)

Improve the processes

  • Propose / help implement changes to the current accounting flow & data structure
  • Actively design internal processes in the area of responsibility, document and communicate to the and stakeholders
  • Contribute to constant improvement of the processes in the area of responsibility (efficiency, automation)
  • Document and update the documentation of the flows/processes in the domain of responsibility
  • Capture, understand and assess the criticality of issues and enhancements reported by end-users and propose solutions
  • Be constantly aware of the changes of the Infomatic ecosystem

Risk Management

  • Alert and play an active role in securing compliance and mitigate the risks identified in the area of responsibility
  • Communicate and debrief alert points regularly to key stakeholders
  • At least 4 - 5 years of professional experience as senior accountant or junior financial controller, with audit experience and professional qualification in Accountancy (ACCA, CPA, CA Singapore).
  • Experience in collaboration with a Share Service Center (offshore) is a plus.
  • Complete accounting expertise and good experience with tax-related issues.
  • Well-versed in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Fluent in English
  • Autonomous, able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines
