A leading company is seeking a skilled finance professional to manage financial reporting and compliance. The role involves preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with local regulations, coordinating audits, and overseeing tax-related matters. Applicants should have a degree in Finance/Accounting and a minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in the retail or FMCG industry. Strong Excel skills and proficiency in SAP are essential for success in this position.
Salary: up to $6k
Location: Orchard
Work hours: 9am to 6pm, Mon to Fri
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
o Lead the preparation and review of high-quality monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliation.
o Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements and internal financial policies.
o Coordinate and support the year-end statutory audit, liaise with external auditors to resolve audit queries and ensure timely sign-off of annual financial statements.
o Oversee tax-related matters including annual company tax fillings, transfer pricing, and GST compliance in collaboration with external tax agents.
Financial Operations
o Work closely with the Share Services Centre and Finance team to support smooth daily operations across AP, AR, GL, Treasury and month-end activities.
o Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce financial risk.
o Support the Finance team on cash management, intercompany transactions, and treasury-related matters.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
o Provide analytical support during budgeting, reforecasting, and month-end closing.
o Assist with financial modelling and scenario planning for retail operations.
