A leading company in Singapore is seeking a Financial Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of relevant experience, a degree in finance or a related field, and strong proficiency in financial modelling. Financial Analyst
Responsibilities:
1. Budgeting and Forecasting:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
· Assist in the preparation of budget guidelines, assumptions, and templates.
· Review and analyze budget proposals, identifying risks and opportunities.
· Monitor budget performance, prepare variance reports, and provide explanations for budget deviations.
2. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
· Gather and analyze financial data to assess the company's financial performance and identify areas of improvement.
· Prepare financial reports, including budget vs. actuals analysis, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
· Monitor and track financial metrics, such as profitability, liquidity, and other ratios, and provide recommendations for improvement.
· Manage Capex process including budget, commitment and actual tracking with variance analysis.
· Support cashflow management.
3. Financial Modelling and Decision Support:
· Build financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and scenario analysis.
· Evaluate the financial feasibility and potential return on investment (ROI) of new projects or business ventures.
· Provide financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on financial modelling and analysis.
4. Financial Systems and Process Improvement:
· Collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial systems and processes.
· Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency enhancements.
· Participate in the implementation and testing of financial systems and tools.
5. Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
· 3-5 years’ experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar financial role.
· Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial statement analysis.
· Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis using spreadsheets and financial software (e.g., Excel, financial databases).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
· Strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically.
· Team player with positive attitude.
