Financial Accounting Team Lead (12 months)

Short Description

Reporting to the Head of Accounting and Tax, the Financial Accounting Manager will lead the General Ledger team to provide accounting support for the organisation.

About the Job

· Manage a team of 4 accountants to maintain the General Ledger, following the accounting standards and guidelines defined by finance policies.

· Supervise the maintenance of accurate accounting records, oversee the month end and year end closing and review balance sheet reconciliations and analyses.

· Prepare and review group, subsidiary and branch financial statements.

· Manage relationships with branch and subsidiary auditors.

· Helps to ensure financial control and financial risk management so that the organization’s financial position is well controlled, and assets are safeguarded.

About You

· Degree or equivalent in accounting, business or finance.

· Proven experience leading a small financial accounting team within an international finance team.

· Knowledge of key accounting concepts and standards (IFRS, SFRS etc).

· Strong people management skills.

· Possess a continuous-improvement mindset, critically analysing processes across the team and recommending best practices.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Experience working in global team collaborative environment is highly valued.

· Ability to work within a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines, multitask and cope with multiple activities.
