Attesa Coffee - Finance & Accounting Specialist

Attesa Coffee is a start-up specializing in green coffee sourcing and distribution, headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We collaborate directly with producers at the origin to deliver high-quality, traceable coffees to our customers—specialty coffee roasters—using efficient digital frameworks. Our commitment to transparency and traceability is central to our operations.

We are seeking a Finance & Accounting Specialist to lead activities related to our financial operations.

Compensation

The monthly in-hand salary for this full-time role ranges from €20,000 to €25,000, depending on experience and skills.

Responsibilities
  1. Create purchase and sales transaction documents such as POs and invoices using Zoho Books (our internal ERP software).
  2. Assist with currency and commodity hedging transactions, including calculations and recordings.
  3. Support finance, tax teams, and tax agencies in preparing monthly and quarterly tax filings by facilitating transaction documentation and preparing overview reports.
  4. Help prepare customer purchase contracts based on standard templates.
  5. Report and inform management about past due invoices and bills from suppliers and vendors.
  6. Review employees' monthly corporate spending and seek clarification when necessary.
  7. Assist in improving templates and forms of transaction documents such as POs and invoices.
  8. Support other financial and commercial corporate projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in financial reporting, controlling, or analysis.
  • Understanding of transaction documents such as POs, SOs, and invoices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Ability and preference to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Zoho Books or similar software.
  • Interest or willingness to learn more about the coffee distribution industry.
  • Knowledge of currency, commodity trading, and derivatives trading.
