A leading precision engineering company located in Singapore is seeking an experienced finance professional to oversee accounting activities and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of relevant experience. Familiarity with ERP systems and strong analytical skills are essential. This role involves enhancing financial visibility and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Core Accounting & Compliance
Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including GL postings, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and audit requests.
Support accurate preparation of financial statements in line with accounting standards.
Monitor AP/AR ledgers, aging, and payment schedules to maintain healthy cash flow.
Process Improvement & Digitization
Assess current finance processes (costing, inventory, AP/AR, month-end close) and identify efficiency gaps.
Introduce automation and system enhancements to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and shorten cycle times.
Support M&A integration and post-acquisition harmonization
Standardize procedures across the KA Group, where applicable.
ERP & Systems Enablement
Support ERP/accounting system upgrades, replacements, or cloud migration.
Align finance systems with production and inventory processes (WIP tracking, finished goods costing).
Act as the link between Finance, IT, and external vendors during system projects.
Costing & Operational Finance
Drive costing analysis, including standard vs. actual, variance tracking, and margin analysis by product line.
Strengthen inventory accuracy and valuation processes in partnership with operations.
Financial Visibility & Reporting
Enhance management reporting and dashboards covering cash flow, working capital, and key KPIs (DSO, DPO, DIO).
Enable faster and more insightful month-end reporting.
Change Management & Training
Partner with finance and operations teams to secure adoption of new processes and systems.
Provide training and guidance to embed changes into day-to-day operations.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
5+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, ideally with exposure to manufacturing costing and inventory processes.
Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems; involvement in system upgrades or cloud migration is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, automation); exposure to BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
Strong understanding of core accounting processes (GL, AP/AR, reconciliations, month-end close) and statutory compliance.
Process improvement mindset; experience with automation, Lean/Kaizen, or RPA tools preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate across Finance, Operations, IT, and external vendors.
Self-starter, adaptable, and comfortable balancing hands-on accounting with transformation projects in a lean SME setup.
