We are seeking an experienced finance and accounting professional to join our Financial Management team. In this pivotal role, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing expertise, guidance, and strategic insights for finance-related projects. This role requires a proactive individual who can communicate complex concepts effectively, mentor team members, and drive successful project outcomes. Additional responsibilities include supporting the regional finance team on reporting matters.

Main Duties:

Collaboration and Alignment:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including the Finance Projects Team, Front Office, Operations, and IT, to ensure finance-related project goals align with the organization's strategic objectives.

Project Management:

  • Lead the implementation of financial systems, including General Ledger (GL) implementation, finance process optimization/automation, and core banking system modifications.
  • Drive initiatives that support Front Office business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle, including business requirements, user acceptance test scenarios/cases, business process workflows, and project timelines.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing strategies to address potential challenges and ensure project continuity.

Support and Reporting:

  • Provide support to the Regional Finance Management (FM) team in all financial, regulatory, and statutory reporting requirements, including responding to auditors' requests.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis, with a strong background in financial systems, ERP implementations, or project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex project challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel.
  • Experience using SQL and Python is a plus.
