Finance Operations Team Lead (Assistant Manager Level)

Tanjong Pagar / Shenton Way
Mon–Thurs: 8:30am–5:30pm | Fri: 8:30am–4:30pm
$6,500 – $8,000 per month

Join a reputable insurance company as a Finance Operations Team Lead and play a key role in driving operational efficiency, compliance, and team performance within the Finance Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily payment operations for trade and non-trade transactions

  • Allocate tasks and monitor team performance and output quality

  • Review bank reconciliations to ensure alignment with general ledger balances

  • Manage credit control functions including commission payments and receivables/payables from reinsurers

  • Supervise and follow up on reinsurance reconciliation processes

  • Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns and yearly commission e-submissions to IRAS

  • Maintain and operate Debtor and Cash Book systems including monthly closings

  • Oversee updates of payment mandates and banking facilities

  • Support cash flow monitoring and placement of excess funds in fixed deposits

  • Liaise with banks on deposit renewals and transactions

  • Participate in finance-related projects and process improvements

  • Assist with various ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Head of Department

Requirements
  • Degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial operations within insurance or financial services

  • Proven track record in leading teams of 5 or more

  • Skilled in process streamlining and change management

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficient in English (spoken and written)

  • Singaporeans only
