Job description

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and oversee daily accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets).
2. Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with SFRS/IFRS.
3. Support SGX-related reporting and disclosures, including financial announcements and board reports.
4. Ensure timely submission of tax filings, GST returns, and statutory financial reports.
5. Liaise with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
6. Stay updated with local and international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Assist in budget preparation and periodic forecasts.
8. Monitor actual vs. budget performance and provide variance analysis to management.
9. Monitor and manage cash flow, banking transactions, and treasury functions.
10. Prepare regular bank reconciliations and manage relationships with financial institutions.
11. Supervise junior finance team members and review their work.
12. Maintain and enhance internal control procedures and accounting policies.
13. Any other ad hoc duties assigned.

Requirements:

1. 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
2. MUST be familiar with China accounting standards to report to China HQ.
3. Strong technical knowledge of SFRS/IFRS and MAS/SGX regulatory requirements.

Advantages:

1. Experience in a listed company or Petrochemical and energy sector.
2. CPA / ACCA / CA (Singapore) qualification.
