We are looking for a proactive Finance Manager to lead financial operations in Singapore. Reporting to the Finance Senior Manager – SEA, you will play a key role in managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and optimizing processes. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, operational efficiency, and collaborative skills across various teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily financial operations, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), general ledger, payroll, and monthly financial closing and tax submissions
  • Lead the annual statutory audit process, including preparation and review of financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and SOX norms
  • Support group audit requests and ensure alignment with group reporting guidelines
  • Work closely with auditors and tax advisors to manage audits and tax filings
  • Manage financial operations for both Singapore and Australia, with Australia accounting for a smaller portion of time due to its smaller size and less complicated business.
  • Identify changes in the existing transfer pricing model and propose modifications to intercompany agreements to reflect the economic reality behind business operations.
  • Managed and coached a team of two accountants. Identify potential improvements for current processes and ERP systems and participate in cross-functional projects to enhance accuracy and boost operational efficiency.
  • Define entity-level controls together with external consultants, submit controls evidence for review, and follow up on any deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with the internal and HQ finance teams and key business stakeholders to streamline existing processes to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Assist the Senior Finance Manager with budgeting, cash management, and financial planning. Act as a backup for reviewing financial terms in contracts and vendor forms, and any analysis or requests in the SEA region

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA or CA qualification preferred.
  • 8-10 years of progressively relevant experience in a growth organization
  • Experience in the technology industry, especially software and IT services, is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing a small team, with the ability to work effectively with autonomy in a remote environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Singapore’s tax and accounting regulations. Experience in cross-border tax matters (e.g., transfer pricing and withholding taxes) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP), ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics), and reporting tools (preferably One Stream).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, paired with solid business acumen. Adept at navigating challenges and driving progress in complex or ambiguous environments.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives under time pressure, manages time effectively, adapts well to change and takes a hands-on approach in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
