Finance Manager - RTR

Job summary

Singtel is hiring to provide operational support for record to report (RTR) activities, including month-end close, journal entries and reconciliations. You will collaborate with finance teams to deliver timely and accurate data, and help drive automation across the RTR function.

The role requires a degree in Accountancy/Finance with at least 6 years of relevant experience in financial operations, and strong stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in financial operations, accounting and/or process improvement.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Power Platform and AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle month-end close activities including journals, reconciliations and balance sheet review.
• Assist in preparation/review of financial statements in line with accounting policies.
• Liaise with auditors to support statutory audits and resolve queries.
• Drive process improvement through standardisation, automation and IT collaboration.
• Monitor post-implementation outcomes and provide guidance to RTR teams.
• Support other RTR activities as assigned.

Be a Part of Something BIG!This role is expected to provide operational support for record to report (RTR) activities, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, management and statutory reporting tasks. An individual in this role will be responsible to work with various finance teams to deliver timely and accurate financial data.
In addition, this role will provide support to RTR’s continuous improvement initiatives, which includes identifying process gaps and enhancement opportunities, simplifying, and standardizing activities, driving automation and system enhancement across RTR to improve close efficiency.

• Handle month-end close activities, including journals, reconciliations and balance sheet accounts review to ensure accurate and timely financial closing.
• Support the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance to accounting policies and standards.
• Liaise with auditors to address queries, provide supporting documentation, and facilitate timely completion of statutory audits.
• Drive process improvement through review of processes, identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, automation, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive improvements.
• Work with IT and automation teams to coordinate process improvements initiatives, including requirements gathering, solution development, UAT, implementation and change management.
• Monitor post-implementation outcomes, identify further enhancement opportunities and provide ongoing guidance and support to team members.

Skills For Success

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business or a related discipline; or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with exposure to financial operations, accounting/ reporting and/or process optimisation & transformation initiatives
• Good finance and accounting process knowledge
• Process mapping and root-cause analysis
• Experience supporting process improvement, automation or transformation initiatives
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, familiarity with Power Platform, AI tools will be advantageous.
• Good stakeholder management
• Strong problem solving and analytical mindset
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Good organisation, prioritisation and coordination skills
• Understanding of finance controls, governance and audit requirements
