Finance Manager, FP&A

Finance Business Partner supporting Research Development Division (RDD) team for Global Overhead and Capex

Location: Singapore, reporting to Global Overhead Head of Finance

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drive monthly and quarterly forecasting process, communicate requirements and expectations, and collaborate with stakeholders to perform bottoms-up forecasts.
2. Lead the annual budget planning process to drive the financial roll-up, align expectations from top-down, and ensure completeness of financial loading.
3. Present accurate and meaningful consolidated financial performance detailing variances to budget, forecast, and prior year to facilitate senior leader discussions.
4. Work closely with BU finance to report the 5-year long-term financial planning and understand the roadmap/strategy.
5. Drive spend prioritization and cost trending discussions with stakeholders to deliver function strategy.
6. Partner with key RDD stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and drive towards RDD objectives and goals.
7. Contribute to initiatives and project implementations.
8. Influence and negotiate at all levels of the organization as a subject matter expert.
9. Drive business decisions and contextualize advice to ensure relevance within Dyson, based on a solid understanding of how Dyson operates and the current operating environment.
10. Understand and create value from data analytics to impact the business.
11. Clearly present and communicate complex data analysis.
12. Serve as a trusted finance business partner for the Global Overheads team and key RDD stakeholders.
13. Work closely with BU finance and other RDD Finance team members.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 7-9 years of experience in FP&A with strong analytical experience and P&L ownership.
2. BS/BA required; MBA/CPA a plus.
3. Strong knowledge of modeling/forecasting, planning, budgeting, and management reporting.
4. Experience with Onstream/SAP or Hyperion or relevant FP&A tools is a plus.
5. Expert user in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ThinkCell.
6. Experience in analytical tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
7. Methodical/driver-based business planning capability.
8. Previous experience leading or managing a team is a plus.
9. Experience managing multiple initiatives and priorities.
10. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
11. Agile mindset with high adaptability to changes; a team player willing to go the extra mile to support others.
