A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is looking for a Finance Manager to lead financial planning and reporting processes. You will ensure compliance with financial regulations and manage a junior finance team. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in finance roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial position. Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
· Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises.
· Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, including in-depth variance analysis and performance commentary for senior management.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
· Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS
· Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and other statutory requirements.
· Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies as needed.
Cash Flow Management
· Monitor daily cash position and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
· Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts
· Review and approve payment transactions in accordance with internal controls.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
· Strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure operational efficiency.
· Identify financial risks and implement mitigation measures.
· Support internal audit and risk management activities.
Team Management & Development
· Supervise and mentor junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
· Drive continuous improvement and automation within the finance function.
Other Responsibilities
· Oversees the accounting and tax function of overseas branch/representative office.
· Take on ad hoc projects and assignments in support of broader finance and business initiatives
Requirements
· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
· Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is highly preferred.
· Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity, preferably in oil trading industry
· Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, and financial analysis.
· Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to operate both strategically and operationally.
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
