Job summary

PERSOL Singapore is seeking a seasoned Finance Leader to own group reporting, consolidation, and regulatory disclosures. You will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles, analyse results, and coordinate with subsidiaries and finance teams to ensure accuracy.

The role requires a degree in accounting or finance, 7+ years of experience including group consolidation, and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills. Listed company experience and leadership capabilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• 7+ years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in group consolidation and financial reporting.
• Listed company and leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SFRS(I), consolidation, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in finance system implementation or transformation projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Group reporting & consolidation across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.
• Prepare SGX announcements, annual report disclosures and regulatory submissions.
• Review intercompany eliminations and FX translations.
• Analyse subsidiaries' results and resolve reporting issues with finance teams.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and planning activities.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting matters under SFRS(I).
• Coordinate external audits and manage audit deliverables.
• Review tax matters and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for Singapore entities and ensure internal controls.
• Assist finance system implementations and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Group Reporting & Consolidation
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual Group consolidation and financial reporting.
  • Prepare SGX announcements, annual report disclosures, and regulatory submissions.
  • Review consolidation adjustments, intercompany eliminations, and foreign currency translations.
  • Analyse subsidiaries' financial results and resolve reporting issues with finance teams.
• Management Reporting & Planning
  • Prepare financial analyses, variance commentary, and management reports.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Technical Accounting
  • Provide guidance on complex accounting matters and ensure compliance with SFRS(I).
  • Assess accounting treatments and identify reporting risks.
• Audit, Tax & Compliance
  • Coordinate external audits and manage audit deliverables.
  • Review tax matters and ensure timely regulatory compliance.
• Finance Operations
  • Oversee accounting and financial reporting for assigned Singapore entities.
  • Review financial statements, reconciliations, payments, AP/AR, intercompany transactions, and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and approval processes.
• Systems & Projects
  • Support finance system implementation, process improvements, and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Handle ad-hoc finance projects and assignments.

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in Group consolidation and financial reporting.
• Listed company and team leadership experience preferred.
• Big 4 audit background is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of SFRS(I), consolidation, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in finance system implementation or transformation projects is an advantage.
