Job summary

Singapore Cancer Centre Pte. Ltd.

is seeking a Group Accountant to oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance function for the Group and its subsidiaries. You will review full sets of accounts, perform year-end closing, and report to the CEO and Group CFO.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent.
  • Chartered Accountant with at least 5 years of experience in accounting & finance.
  • Knowledge of SFRS(I) with strong understanding of accounting principles.
  • Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Familiar with MS Office applications.
  • Experience in MYOB accounting systems would be an advantage.
  • Temporary full-time role (contract period from Sept 2026 to Apr 2027).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting & finance function for the Group and subsidiaries.
  • Review full set of accounts and perform year-end closing tasks.
  • Review routine accounting & finance duties prepared by the Accounts Executive.
  • Manage monthly close processes: AR, AP, GL, tax computations and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly management reports and board papers for meetings.
  • Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Liaise with directors, corporate secretary, bankers, auditors and tax agents.
  • Assist in ad hoc requests from holding company.

Job description

The Role

To oversee the day-to-day accounting & finance function within the Company and Group, including reviewing full set of accounts for the Group and its subsidiaries/joint ventures and performing year-end closing tasks for the Group, reporting to the CEO and Group CFO.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

-Review routine accounting & finance duties prepared/performed by the Accounts Executive including the following and ensuring timely monthly closing:

· Accounts Receivables

· Accounts Payables

· Fixed Assets

· General Ledger

· Monthly income tax computation

· Monthly bank reconciliations & other reconciliations

· Monthly financial and management reports including monthly balance sheet schedules and variance analysis

· Quarterly GST filing

· AR and intercompany billing

-Review monthly payments to vendors and submitting payments to management for approval

-Monitor monthly cash flow of company

-Review monthly management accounts of subsidiaries/joint ventures whose accounts are prepared by a separate finance team

-Prepare and report monthly financials of Group entities to holding company

-Prepare quarterly group consolidation accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards

-Prepare board papers (including agenda, slides, analysis of financial information) for quarterly board meetings

-Draft financial statements for Group and individual entities within Group

-Coordinate annual audit including liaising with external auditors on their queries and being involved in discussions/meetings with them

-Liaise with both internal and external parties e.g. directors, corporate secretary, bankers, auditors and tax agents

-Assist in ad hoc requests from holding company
