The Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical individual to join our Finance & Investments team. You will play a key role in managing grant disbursement processes and audit functions for fundraising programmes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and processing grant disbursement claims, ensuring compliance with funding terms and financial guidelines.

• Conducting due diligence and financial checks on submissions, and coordinating with internal teams on appeals and clarifications.

• Preparing evaluation reports and maintaining accurate transaction records for reporting purposes.

• Supporting the planning and execution of annual audit programmes, including procurement, risk-based sampling, and audit reporting.

• Presenting audit findings to senior management and monitoring the implementation of recommendations.

• Generating data insights on disbursement trends and supporting cashflow projections.

• Contributing to system enhancements and digital initiatives through user testing and feedback.

• Recommending process improvements based on audit outcomes and operational reviews.

• Assisting in budget planning, forecasting, and other ad hoc projects as assigned.

• Ensuring proper documentation and adherence to internal controls and governance standards.

What Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a detail-oriented and independent team player with a strong foundation in finance and audit. The ideal candidate should have:

• A degree in Accountancy, Banking, Finance, or a professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA.

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial audit, or administration.

• Familiarity with government procurement and tender processes is advantageous.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders.

• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• High level of integrity and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial or grant management systems.

• A proactive mindset with a willingness to support cross-functional initiatives.
