The Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical individual to join our Finance & Investments team. You will play a key role in managing grant disbursement processes and audit functions for fundraising programmes. Your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing and processing grant disbursement claims, ensuring compliance with funding terms and financial guidelines.
Conducting due diligence and financial checks on submissions, and coordinating with internal teams on appeals and clarifications.
Preparing evaluation reports and maintaining accurate transaction records for reporting purposes.
Supporting the planning and execution of annual audit programmes, including procurement, risk-based sampling, and audit reporting.
Presenting audit findings to senior management and monitoring the implementation of recommendations.
Generating data insights on disbursement trends and supporting cashflow projections.
Contributing to system enhancements and digital initiatives through user testing and feedback.
Recommending process improvements based on audit outcomes and operational reviews.
Assisting in budget planning, forecasting, and other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Ensuring proper documentation and adherence to internal controls and governance standards.
What Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a detail-oriented and independent team player with a strong foundation in finance and audit. The ideal candidate should have:
A degree in Accountancy, Banking, Finance, or a professional qualification such as ACCA/CPA.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial audit, or administration.
Familiarity with government procurement and tender processes is advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial or grant management systems.
A proactive mindset with a willingness to support cross-functional initiatives.
