Job description

  • Adecco is partnering with a multinational retail MNC to hire a technically strong and experienced Finance Manager/ Assistant Manager.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing manage and optimize financial operations, reporting, and compliance within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals eager to drive financial excellence and work cross-functionally with various business units.

Main duties & responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and review of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure financial reporting is fully compliant with local statutory requirements and internal accounting policies.
  • Manage the year-end statutory audit process, working closely with external auditors to resolve queries and ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee all tax matters including corporate income tax filings, GST submissions, and transfer pricing documentation, in coordination with external tax consultants.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the Shared Services Centre and Finance team, to ensure smooth day-to-day finance operations (AP, AR, GL, Treasury).
  • Evaluate and strengthen internal financial controls to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk exposure.
  • Support cash flow planning, manage intercompany transactions, and assist in treasury-related matters.
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts by delivering accurate financial insights and variance analysis.
  • Assist in financial modelling and scenario planning to support business decisions, particularly in the retail sector.
  • Work closely with Operations, HR, and Commercial teams to ensure financial objectives are aligned with business strategies.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, and the company secretary to support regulatory compliance.
  • Take a proactive role in identifying opportunities for process improvement and driving finance initiatives across the business.

The Talent Requirements

  • A degree in Finance or Accounting is required. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or ICAEW are preferred.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on finance experience, ideally within the retail or FMCG sector. Experience in a Big 4 audit firm is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, local tax regulations, and internal controls. Proficiency with SAP and advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • A highly detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive individual with a hands-on approach. Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
