We are seeking a meticulous Assistant Manager/Finance Manager to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of local laws and reporting requirements. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and providing actionable insights to support our leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Accounting and Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Perform timely reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data. - Day-to-Day Financial Operations:
- Handle invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions.
- Record and process accounts payable and staff claims efficiently. - Financial Reporting:
- Produce comprehensive financial reports related to financial statements and management reports. - Compliance and Audits:
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, including IRAS Corporate Tax, GST submission, ACRA annual filing and other statutory filings.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Liaise with corporate secretary on corporate secretarial matters. - Variance Analysis and Insights:
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the leadership team based on financial data analysis. - Consolidation and Reporting:
- Review consolidation packages prepared by subsidiary companies.
- Report consolidated financial data to the headquarters. - Ad-Hoc Duties:
- Perform any additional tasks or projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in Accounting / Financial Reporting for countries in the Asia Pacific region.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in financial accounting and bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with SAP, Sun System, or other financial software is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local accounting laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
