Job summary

A leading company in Singapore seeks a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to oversee investment governance, manage capital expenditures, and drive continuous improvement in processes. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and have experience in the retail or FMCG sectors, alongside professional qualifications such as a CPA.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 - 6 years' experience in FP&A.
• Strong analytical, business acumen, and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience in Retail/FMCG/food industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the governance of investment approval process.
• Monitor capital expenditure, ensuring budgets are maintained.
• Prepare and present CAPEX updates quarterly.

Job Description

• Lead and manage the governance of investment approval process for Fairprice Group
• Monitor capital expenditure utilization, ensuring investments remain within approved budgets.
• Prepare and present CAPEX update on a quarterly basis to key stakeholders
• Conduct post-mortem analysis - assessing actual performance versus original assumptions, identifying key lessons learned, and providing recommendations to enhance future investment decisions.
• Conduct training to stakeholders to level set knowledge on investment business case preparation
• Support the broader FP&A COE, including management reporting and planning
• Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance (or equivalent)
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with ISCA
• A minimum of 5 - 6 years’ experience related to FP&A in a progressive MNC.
• Strong in analytical skills, business acumen and strategic thinking.
• Experience in Retail/ FMCG/ food industry
• Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills in English are a must
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Application, Data visualization tools
• A team player, self-motivated and customer oriented.
• Ability to navigate well in ambiguity.
• Ability to build strong rapport with co-workers
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Other Information

• Working location: Beside Joo Koon MRT
• The successful candidate will be offered a 1-year contract, which is renewable or convertible to permanent, subject to performance.
