Job description

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the club’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. This role manages daily finance activities including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, AR/AP functions, and the development and enforcement of finance-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full spectrum of finance functions, including financial planning, reporting, and analysis.
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes to ensure timely billing, collections, and payments.
  • Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, statements, and analysis to management and the General Committee.
  • Develop, implement, and review finance-related SOPs to enhance operational efficiency and internal controls.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Work closely with department heads to support budgeting, cost control, and financial planning.
  • Manage and mentor finance team members to ensure effective execution of daily finance operations.
  • Support procurement and contract review from a financial perspective.
  • Recommend improvements in accounting systems, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance management, preferably in hospitality, clubs, or service-oriented industries.
  • Strong knowledge of AR/AP processes, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Meticulous, analytical, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
