Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement financial governance, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvements.
- Oversee the management of Legal and Tax Audit affairs, ensuring that all legal and tax obligations are met efficiently.
- Advise Key Management on strategic financial matters, providing valuable risk advisory to enhance decision-making.
- Accountable for the overall accounting operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of periodic financial reports, with a focus on maintaining a robust system of accounting records.
- Establish and enforce controls and budgets to optimize financial performance.
- Implement company standardization and policies, including consolidation reporting, to ensure consistency and compliance across operations.
- Provide tax compliance services and tax planning, liaising with bankers, lawyers, and auditors to ensure proper financial practices.
- Prepare and present Profit and Loss (P/L) statements and balance sheets in accordance with best practices.
- Facilitate business operation funding, managing banking instruments, certificates, and associated documentation.
Requirements:
- Desired Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent business experience. A minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible experience within a major company or division of a large corporation.
- Certifications: Preference will be given to candidates holding the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially in conveying complex financial analyses and insights to management and stakeholders.
- Excel and M365 Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel and other M365 applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), including data analysis, financial reporting, and automation.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of current statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements related to finance and accounting.
- Industry Experience: Proven experience in managing the financial aspects of a complex oil and gas services business or similar industries.
- Leadership & Management: Strong leadership abilities with a focus on building and managing high-performing teams. Experience in effectively influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to shape future business direction.
- Business Acumen: Excellent business acumen with the ability to understand and anticipate financial needs in a dynamic business environment.
- Financial Management Best Practices: Extensive knowledge of best practices in financial management, reporting, and controls.
- Technology Solutions: Solid understanding of IT solutions that address finance, accounting, regulatory, and reporting needs, including proficiency in ERP systems.
- Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, building relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Professional Accounting Qualification: A recognized professional accounting qualification is required.
- ERP Experience: Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable for streamlining financial processes and reporting.
