Job description

Major Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of Finance staff

  • Oversee daily financial operations including AP, AR and GL function.

  • Ensure timely month-end closing and accurate preparation of financial reportsto management.

  • Conduct monthly flux analysis on Profit & Loss and balance sheet to support business performance reviews.

  • Review financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.

  • Responsible for full sets of books for the subsidiary companies.

  • Work closely with HR for payroll payments and its related matters.

  • Reviewand submit quarterlyGST returns by Accounts Executive and annual corporate tax filings.

  • Monitor and manage the Treasury function for smooth cashflow planning.

  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and prevent fraud.

  • Partner with department heads in cross-functional teams to execute initiatives and projects to improve work efficiency.

  • Support the preparation of financial reports, tax filings and audits.

  • Liaise with Corporate Secretary on statutory compliance matters and coordinate with external auditors to support annual audit requirements and regulatory filings.

  • Develop and monitor the financial analysis to support business decision making, including forecasting and budgeting planning.

  • Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance, accuracy, and compliance across functions.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or similar certification is a plus).

  • 8 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working with XERO and other accounting software is preferable

  • Proven track record of delivering objectives in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines and consistently high standards

  • Meticulous with a good level of accuracy and attention to detail is a must

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
