A leading company in finance is seeking a Finance Manager to lead their financial operations. The role requires supervision of finance staff and oversight of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and treasury functions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Finance, extensive experience, and a proven ability to enhance financial processes. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential in this fast-paced environment.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of Finance staff
Oversee daily financial operations including AP, AR and GL function.
Ensure timely month-end closing and accurate preparation of financial reportsto management.
Conduct monthly flux analysis on Profit & Loss and balance sheet to support business performance reviews.
Review financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Responsible for full sets of books for the subsidiary companies.
Work closely with HR for payroll payments and its related matters.
Reviewand submit quarterlyGST returns by Accounts Executive and annual corporate tax filings.
Monitor and manage the Treasury function for smooth cashflow planning.
Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and prevent fraud.
Partner with department heads in cross-functional teams to execute initiatives and projects to improve work efficiency.
Support the preparation of financial reports, tax filings and audits.
Liaise with Corporate Secretary on statutory compliance matters and coordinate with external auditors to support annual audit requirements and regulatory filings.
Develop and monitor the financial analysis to support business decision making, including forecasting and budgeting planning.
Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance, accuracy, and compliance across functions.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Perform any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or similar certification is a plus).
8 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with XERO and other accounting software is preferable
Proven track record of delivering objectives in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines and consistently high standards
Meticulous with a good level of accuracy and attention to detail is a must
Good communication and interpersonal skills
