Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial management functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Partner closely with the sales team to support pricing strategies, deal structuring, and revenue planning.
- Analyze sales performance, customer profitability, and market trends to guide business decisions.
- Monitor and manage gross margins, discounts, and promotional spend effectiveness.
- Prepare and present financial models, cash flow forecasts, and business cases for new opportunities.
- Improve financial processes and ensure accurate, timely reporting for decision-making.
- Support contract reviews and commercial terms to ensure financial risk is minimized.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across sales, operations, and executive leadership to align financial and commercial goals.
- Assist in the development of KPI dashboards that track both financial and sales metrics.
- Prepare timely and accurate cash flow templates and forecasts to support financial planning.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers (e.g., auditors, banks, tax consultants) as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
- Identify and apply for relevant government or business grants to support the establishment and growth of the sales office.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in setting up and managing finance functions for a new office or business unit.
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end financial operations, preferably in a standalone or lean team setup.
- Proficiency in preparing cash flow reports and financial planning tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. CPA/CA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a sales finance or commercial finance capacity.
- Proven experience working with sales teams or supporting sales-driven organizations.
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills (Fluency in both English & Mandarin essential).
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
