Job description

  • Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, including performance management, coaching, and development.
  • Oversee the entire accounts payable and accounts receivable process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure strict adherence to local GST accounting principles and timely and accurate submission of GST returns.
  • Provide comprehensive support for internal and external audits, acting as a key liaison.
  • Review and approve cash and bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor and manage foreign currency exposures and funding requirements.
  • Oversee the maintenance of fixed asset registers and the monthly depreciation process.
  • Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
  • Participate in and lead ad-hoc finance projects and other finance-related tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with a significant portion in a supervisory or managerial capacity, preferably within the F&B or FMCG sector.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including local GST regulations, corporate tax filing, and ECI (Estimated Chargeable Income).
  • Proven experience in managing a team.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (specifically ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external parties.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
