Job description

  • Lead a finance team and oversee the day-to-day finance operations which include financial and management reporting and analysis, statutory reporting, taxation reporting, budgeting and forecasting and treasury matters

  • Covers head office corporate companies including listed company, corporate services and treasury companies

  • Responsible for year-end statutory audit, timely preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors on various audit queries and issues

  • Ensure financial reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with financial reporting standards and taxation laws

  • Responsible for taxation matters including corporate income tax, GST, property tax, handling tax queries from IRAS and tax planning

  • Responsible for transfer pricing analysis and documentation

  • Responsible for treasury matters including loan compliance and operational cashflow management

  • Partner with Business Unit Heads and Operations teams to support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, provide financial insights and analysis to drive operational efficiency, cost control, and business performance improvements.

  • Responsible for monitoring and tracking of financial and capex budgets

  • Provide technical expertise and strong mentorship to team members, ensuring high standards of performance and accuracy.

  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Shared Services

  • Identify and recommend improvements to the accounting and reporting functions and work processes to increase accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.

  • Develop and review internal control policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for compliance with internal control policies and procedures and to review and recommend improvements when necessary.

  • Drive process improvement initiatives, focusing on automation, standardization, and simplification of workflows.

  • Innovate and revamp processes to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Oversee all accounting operations including Intercompany Billing, AR, AP.

Job Requirement

  • At least 10 years’ relevant working experience, of which, minimum 3 years in Big 4, and minimum 3 years in a managerial capacity. Real estate experience is preferred

  • Knowledge in operational Finance in Real Estate

  • Well versed in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards

  • Knowledge of accounting system, Netsuite, Cognos and MRI

  • Meticulous and organised

  • Able to work independently and as a team player

  • Proven ability to lead, guide, and motivate the finance team to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables are met

  • Able to work late and under tight deadlines when necessary

  • Positive working attitude

  • Proficient in MS office applications

  • Good time management and interpersonal / communication skills
