Job description

Lead and direct the accounting activities of the Company, undertaking all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Ensuring all times that all statutory accounting requirements and local tax compliance for the Company's activities are accomplished and compliant.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible in reporting monthly accounts in accordance to Accounting Standards and Corporate Accounting and Reporting Guidelines.

2. Supervises accounting and finance activities, including establish policies, governance and ensure compliance.

3. Work closely with internal stakeholders in HR, Operations, Customer Service and Commercial to ensure smooth operations across the organisation.

4. Process optimisation to drive up efficiency, increase cost saving and improve productivity across the organisation.

5. Lead the Finance team to Reporting excellence, with close partnership with the Shared Service Center to drive process efficiency.

6. Responsible on budget and cash flow projection, including all treasury matters.

7.Responsible for corporate income tax computation/returns and key contacts with government bodies.

Requirements

  • Preferably Degree in Accountancy/Professional Accounting Qualification or equivalent with relevant working experience.
  • At least 15 years of working experience, with at least recent 5 years in managerial/supervisory role.
  • Good understanding and interpretation of accounting concepts, financial reporting standards and best practices particularly on Trading and Logistical Industries.
  • People orientated and possessed excellent interpersonal and workplace communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and knowledgeable in setting up a good control and compliance environment.
  • Required language(s): English
  • Good knowledge, both hands-on and analytical in SAP ECC6 and Microsoft Offices.
  • Meticulous, mature and deadline conscious.
