About the Role: We are looking for a motivated Assistant Manager in Finance & Accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in financial advisory, modeling, and corporate finance strategies in a start-up environment. You’ll play a key role in providing tailored financial solutions and conducting thorough analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver strategic advisory and develop turnaround strategies for the company
  • Develop and implement reporting templates and processes for improved efficiency and accuracy
  • Engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, ensuring alignment in financial management practices

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare monthly management reports with variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting through bank reconciliation and journal entries for accruals
  • Prepare quarterly GST submission, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accurate reporting
  • Manage essential HR functions including monthly payroll and annual IR8A generation
  • Conduct various breakeven analyses and cost-benefit analyses, offering insights to optimize operational efficiency
  • Forecast detailed financials to determine funding gap and cash flow for financial planning and risk management
  • Conduct assessment of the financials to determine the commercial and financial attractiveness of the firm

Process Optimization:

  • Streamline financial processes and enhance accounting practices
  • Implement processes to facilitate accuracy in allocation of revenue and costs to relevant departments

Team Leadership: Mentor junior associates and engage with clients to ensure alignment on financial management practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA qualification is a plus
  • Proven experience in financial modeling and reporting
  • Proficiency in financial software and automation tools
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly
  • Experience managing client relationships and collaborating in a start-up team environment
