Finance Leasing Manager ($8.5K) (ID: 670584)

This hire is responsible for business development, business process management, and credit analysis & control in the Finance & Leasing market. Managing the daily operations of the Singapore office and growing the organization's presence within Asia Pacific markets. The incumbent will also work with the Singapore team and the HQ in Japan to make key policy decisions that will drive growth internationally.

Responsibilities:

• Enhancement of business & product development by using the leasing market experience and legal skills.
• Providing market strategy consistent with vision, values, and business philosophy to maximize the number of opportunities, achieving budgeted volume/profit target.
• Handling legal contract matters and the process management.
• Overseeing credit & risk and the process management by using extensive credit underwriting skills.
• Control of liquidation and delinquency matters.
• Designing and implementing business development and promotion strategies to expand the finance business, including financial and leasing, by coordinating with strategic partners and shareholders in SG, Japan, and other Asia Pacific markets.
• Working closely with the Board of Directors to set directions and organizational strategy, achieving targets with team members.
• Regularly performing contract negotiations with vendors and partners in SG and abroad to secure favorable business terms.
• Appropriately analyzing risk and compliance variables when making business decisions to maintain the company's brand.
• Fostering relationships with internal & external partners and shareholders to identify new growth and expansion opportunities.
• Maintaining and reinforcing relationships to ensure cross-cooperation and win transnational projects.
• Collaborating with HQ directors and other managers and team members in Japan to define our global corporate strategy, targets, and progress trajectory.
• Developing revenue by finding new profit streams, setting sales targets, and managing the team to achieve them.
• Keeping up to date with trends and changes in the market and initiating responses with relevant team members, stakeholders, and directors.
• Ensuring that proposed client solutions meet and exceed client expectations.
• Supporting the career development and progression of the local management team.
• Managing and developing the marketing team and taking responsibility to achieve the budget and goals.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in Corporate investment.
• Adequate experience in the leasing market.
• Strong credit and underwriting skills with a deep understanding of financial statement analysis and interpretation.
• Extensive experience handling mid and large ticket leases, loans, and other banking/equipment financing services products including operating leases.
• Strong understanding and deep experience of leasing and loan documentation to facilitate and lead closing and document negotiations.
• Strong interpersonal and business writing skills to liaise with key stakeholders, perform contract negotiations, vendor management, and due diligence reporting.
• Business-level proficiency in English is required to work with all company stakeholders in Singapore, Japan, and elsewhere on crucial company matters relating to strategy, development, and growth.
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese will be an advantage but not a must due to business needs.
• High-level capability for problem-solving, negotiation, and grit to acquire consensus among stakeholders.
• A strong understanding of the Japanese Financial industry and familiarity with Japanese Corporate cultures will be an advantage.
• Required to travel a few times a year to Japan and other countries in Asia and the Pacific.
• Self-starter who can proactively streamline processes and strategies to remain relevant to the market and clients.
