Role Overview:
Resaro is seeking a hands-on Finance Lead to run the finance function as the company scales its business. This is a critical hire who will be instrumental in driving financial planning, budgeting and operational finance. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and experienced finance professional with a strong understanding of startup environments, ability to build a strong finance function in a zero-to-one environment, and support fundraising activities.
Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
- Partner with the executive team on budget development and monitoring.
- Lead the budgeting process. Implement and maintain financial controls and processes.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights.
- Manage burn rate and optimize resource allocation.
Operational Finance:
- Establish and oversee financial processes (e.g., accounting, reporting, audits).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage external auditor and finance outsourced provider (audits, financial reporting, tax filings, AP, AR, expense management), ensuring alignment and effective service delivery.
Fundraising:
- Support Co-CEOs in driving fundraising strategy and execution.
- Prepare materials for fundraising rounds, including pitch decks and dataroom documentation.
- Support investor engagement and investor relations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- 7+ years of finance/ accounting experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
- Proven experience in financial modeling, FP&A, and budgeting.
- Experience with fundraising from strategic investors and VCs is desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Xero, or similar).
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with the technology sector and software platform business models is a plus.
