Finance Lead

Most enterprises do not have the capability to do this and we are a new AI assurance venture that provides solutions to validate AI systems for accuracy, robustness, explainability, fairness, privacy and security.

Role Overview:

Resaro is seeking a hands-on Finance Lead to run the finance function as the company scales its business. This is a critical hire who will be instrumental in driving financial planning, budgeting and operational finance. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and experienced finance professional with a strong understanding of startup environments, ability to build a strong finance function in a zero-to-one environment, and support fundraising activities.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

1. Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
2. Partner with the executive team on budget development and monitoring.
3. Lead the budgeting process. Implement and maintain financial controls and processes.
4. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights.
5. Manage burn rate and optimize resource allocation.

Operational Finance:

1. Establish and oversee financial processes (e.g., accounting, reporting, audits).
2. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
3. Manage external auditor and finance outsourced provider (audits, financial reporting, tax filings, AP, AR, expense management), ensuring alignment and effective service delivery.

Fundraising:

1. Support Co-CEOs in driving fundraising strategy and execution.
2. Prepare materials for fundraising rounds, including pitch decks and dataroom documentation.
3. Support investor engagement and investor relations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
2. 7+ years of finance/ accounting experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
3. Strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
4. Proven experience in financial modeling, FP&A, and budgeting.
5. Experience with fundraising from strategic investors and VCs is desirable.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Xero, or similar).
9. Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
10. Familiarity with the technology sector and software platform business models is a plus.
