Job description

Being a strategic business partner to Asia Portfolio, the Finance Executive/Senior Executive (Controller) will be part of the finance team, reporting to the Controller. You will be working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders in financial planning processes that includes reporting, analysis, and forecasting, to support global and regional business leadership in key financial decisions and ensure compliance with external parties, including statutory board and bankers/financiers.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Support and continuously improve the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports and forecasts for Group Management Reporting, using both financial and non-financial data from various data sources
  • Performing financial analyses, delivering value-adding insights, and leveraging financial data / statements in building business strategies;
  • Participate & support forecasting and budgeting exercise and ad-hoc financial matters across entities;
  • Active business partner to support improvements projects (Operational Excellence, Procurement Excellence, and Commercial Excellence) in Asia
  • Drive cost optimisation initiatives by identifying efficiency opportunities and implementing sustainable cost control measures
  • Develop and maintain advanced Excel models to analyse large datasets, automate reporting, and support scenario planning
  • Performing other related duties when necessary

Required Skill Sets/ Competencies

  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy/Finance
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience (Fresh Graduates are also welcome!)
  • Team-player with a positive attitude, self-driven with the ability to work independently and responses well to new challenges
  • Strategic, analytical thinkers and a keen interest in analysis coupled with a strong commercial acumen
  • Strong written presentation and communication skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Excellent quantitative abilities and strong proficiency of Microsoft Excel
