Candidates should have a Diploma in Accounting or Finance and 1-3 years of relevant experience. Our client is a leading container shipping company. With a fleet of owned and leased containers and an extensive network of offices and agencies, they provide innovative shipping solutions from the Far East to the Middle East and North & East Africa.
Manage accounts: Process and reconcile collections and payments, ensuring timely billing and vendor payments while maintaining accurate records.
Oversee general ledger: Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries, and assist in month-end closing activities to ensure financial accuracy.
Monitor cash flow: Forecast cash requirements, maintain bank records, and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
Contribute to financial reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Support tax compliance: Help prepare and submit tax filings, ensuring adherence to regulations and deadlines.
Maintain internal controls: Ensure compliance with financial policies and assist with external audits.
Review expenses: Process employee expense claims and ensure all expenses are accurately recorded and policy-compliant.
Ensure data accuracy: Review and analyze financial data, correcting discrepancies to maintain precise records.
Liaise with vendors: Maintain vendor relationships, manage payments, and respond to inquiries.
Utilize financial systems: Effectively use accounting software to record and process financial data, contributing to process improvements.
Educational background: Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic foundation.
Relevant experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger management. Entry level is also welcomed to apply.
Accounting knowledge: Good understanding of accounting principles to ensure accurate financial management.
Technical proficiency: Skilled in MS Excel and financial reporting tools to efficiently manage financial data.
Integrity: Ability to handle confidential financial information with the utmost discretion.
Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Working Day: Mon to Fri, 9am-6pm (Hybrid work arrangement after probation)
