Job summary

JointHire Singapore Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based subsidiary of a Japan-headquartered group, specializes in the reuse and resale of luxury goods. The role supports the finance team with comprehensive accounting duties.

The position covers the full set of accounts, monthly closings, tax compliance and reporting, while maintaining strong internal controls. Working hours are standard, with AWS and a variable bonus aligned to performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience with exposure to full set accounts.
• Proficient in MYOB and Microsoft Excel; Xlookup/Vlookup/Pivot knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full set of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Bank Reconciliations
• Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end closing activities
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports accurately and on time
• Ensure compliance with SFRS and internal controls
• Process supplier invoices and employee expense claims
• Verify supporting documents and approval workflows
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain payment vouchers, contracts and accounting records
• Record customer collections and allocate payments accurately
• Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances
• Prepare customer statements and reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
• Record asset acquisitions, disposals and depreciation
• Prepare and maintain FRS 116 Right-of-Use asset schedules
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items
• Support cash flow monitoring and treasury activities
• Support statutory audits and prepare audit schedules
• Assist in GST, corporate tax and regulatory reporting requirements
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies and procedures
