A leading university is looking for a finance professional to handle general administration and multiple finance functions. The role requires processing accounts payable, supporting month-end closing, and responding to departmental finance queries. Candidates with a degree in accountancy or equivalent qualifications are preferred, though entry-level candidates with relevant experience may be considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good communication skills are essential.
Responsible for general administration, coordination, and execution of a variety of finance functions including but not limited to the following: -
Process Accounts Payable, including staff claims and withholding tax submission
Handle journal posting for departments/centres
Handle finance queries from other departments/centres
Follow up promptly on outstanding items in Balance sheet & Vendor Reconciliation
Perform ad hoc reporting, data extraction, reconciliation and tracking as requested by the supervisor
Assist in Financial Month End & Financial Year End closing matters
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein or as assigned by the supervisor
Requirement
Degree in Accountancy or other equivalent qualifications.
Entry-level candidates or Diploma holders with at least 5 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Prior accounting experience is preferred but not essential
Knowledge in SAP would be advantageous
Meticulous and able to work independently.
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to start work immediately/as soon as possible.
