Job description

We are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Finance Executive to oversee and manage the finance function at the country level. This role will serve as the key liaison between the country office and the Financial Shared Services Center (FSSC), ensuring efficient execution of finance operations, compliance with corporate policies, and alignment with both local regulatory requirements and global standards.

The ideal candidate will combine strong financial leadership with excellent stakeholder management skills to support business objectives and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Operations & Shared Services Coordination

  • Act as the primary country liaison with the Financial Shared Services Center (FSSC) for all transactional finance activities, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, general ledger, and fixed assets.

  • Ensure seamless coordination with FSSC to maintain timely and accurate processing of financial transactions.

  • Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) with FSSC and ensure alignment with country-specific business needs.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee local statutory financial reporting and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

  • Validate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements prepared by FSSC for accuracy and compliance with local GAAP and internal policies.

  • Support internal and external audit processes, coordinating with FSSC for necessary documentation.

Business Partnering

  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making by the local management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, HR, Operations) to ensure financial controls are embedded across the business.

Cash & Treasury Management

  • Ensure proper execution of treasury operations and internal controls.

Team Leadership

  • Ensure appropriate coordination with the shared services team.

  • Promote continuous improvement and process optimization in collaboration with FSSC.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) required.

  • 2 years of relevant experience in finance, experience in Big4 is a plus

  • Experience working with or within a Financial Shared Services Center (FSSC) is highly desirable.

  • Solid knowledge of local tax laws, statutory requirements, and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).

  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and financial reporting tools.
