The Singapore Finance Director role is critical to realise the growth potential across South East Asia region. Reporting to the Regional APAC CFO and working closely with the APM Managing Director, the focus of the role is on:

Being the privileged business partner to SEA Partnership Market MD and commercial team to deliver business performance aligned with Strategic roadmap.

Lead Forecasting, planning and analysis of the PM Markets, including Singapore IMC.

Own the statutory reporting and secure compliance of the SG10 legal entity.

This critical role requires a strong and confident leadership profile who can lead and work autonomously, delivering high quality analytics and strong engagement across the team.

The role is based in Singapore and is expected to have a reasonable degree of overseas travel as dictated by business needs.

Team of 1 Senior Analyst + 1 Analyst.

Key Responsibilities and Activities

Commercial Finance - APM Business Partner (60%)

  1. Lead forecasting, budgeting and planning by country + SG IMC, including reviewing monthly business performance and identifying any R&O to secure target delivery.
  2. Understand business drivers and provide financial recommendation to stakeholders to support business decisions.
  3. Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies that align with business objectives (investment choices, return on investment).
  4. Pricing Strategy and value Chain.

Financial Operations and Control (legal entity) (40%)

  1. Oversee all aspects of accounting operations for SG10, partnering with GBS to ensure compliance with internal policy and IFRS.
  2. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
  3. Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  4. Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and tax: annual audit process and compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements.
  5. Manage cash flow and optimize working capital.
  6. Review and approve the final Quarterly Goods and Services Tax (GST) filings, ensuring compliance with Singaporean tax regulations.
  7. Manage corporate tax planning optimizing tax efficiency within legal parameters.
  8. Oversee transfer pricing documentation and compliance.
  9. Review and approve customer credit limits, assessing creditworthiness and mitigating potential bad debt risks.
  10. Support internal audits (ad hoc), ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  11. Manage the bi-annual L262 audit reporting.

Experience Required & Skills

  1. 10 years progressively increasing leadership in finance/project management preferably in the liquor industry, FMCG essential.
  2. CPA/CA and Degree in Commerce/Accounting, MBA advantageous.
  3. Strategic thinking and total business acumen.
  4. Strong planning, organization, delegation and decision-making abilities.
  5. Ability to work on a diverse range of projects, including multiple concurrent projects.
  6. High attention to detail.
  7. Strong Influencing, negotiation and leadership skills.
  8. Team leader able to reconcile both regional and local constraints.
  9. Proactive, self-starter, with excellent time management skills.
  10. Solid analysis and reporting skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Strong user of Microsoft Office, particularly MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint.
  12. Working knowledge of SAP systems (ECC, BW, BPC) advantageous.
  13. Proven experience in working cross-functionally and in multi-cultural environment.

Reporting Relationship

Direct report to the Chief Financial Officer of BU APAC.

Key internal stakeholders: BU APAC leadership team and BU FP&A team, Country commercial managers, Group Finance (IFRS, Tax and Treasury), IT, Internal Audit, Supply chain and Supply Chain finance, GBS APAC.
