Overview

The Finance Director will oversee the financial health of the organisation, ensuring accurate reporting, strategic planning, and effective budget management. This role in the Shared Services function of this manufacturing MNC requires strong leadership and expertise in accounting and finance to drive business success.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established global organization in the manufacturing sector, with a regional office based in Singapore. Operating across multiple markets and business units, the company is known for its commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth. In line with its continued business expansion and success, and as part of its focus on financial leadership and governance, the organization is seeking a Finance Director to lead its regional finance operations within a shared services environment, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring financial integrity across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure financial operations and reporting comply with statutory and internal governance standards.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including asset classification and preparation of financial statements.
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reports, analyze variances, and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Lead regional finance teams and coordinate with external advisors on tax matters such as filings, transfer pricing, and indirect tax compliance.
  • Oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) functions, ensuring timely reporting and payment cycles.
  • Drive effective cash flow and asset management strategies.
  • Manage the audit cycle from planning to finalization, ensuring accuracy and completeness of audited financials.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to consolidate and review budget submissions.
  • Manage corporate insurance reviews (excluding HR-related matters).
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development within the finance team.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is required.
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role within the manufacturing sector or multinational environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams across diverse geographies.
  • Strong experience working in regional roles and collaborating with cross-border, multicultural teams.
  • Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to various stakeholders.
