Job description

We are seeking a high-calibre Finance Director to oversee the financial leadership of our paint manufacturing group. This executive role is responsible for the full spectrum of finance functions across multiple business units, including financial reporting, group consolidation, tax, treasury, risk, and sustainability finance.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in IFRS/IAS compliance, corporate tax planning, banking/treasury management, and financial systems, particularly SAP (FI/CO) and IBM Cognos.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership

· Drive the Group’s financial strategy in support of growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability.

· Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and Board to support data-driven decision-making.

· Align finance objectives with business strategy and ESG commitments.

Group Financial Control & Reporting

· Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS/IAS.

· Ensure high-quality, timely financial reporting using SAP and Cognos across all subsidiaries.

· Maintain strong internal control environments and support external and internal audits.

Tax Strategy & Compliance

· Develop and manage the Group’s tax strategy, ensuring full compliance and optimization across jurisdictions.

· Coordinate with tax consultants and regulators to mitigate risk and manage transfer pricing, VAT, and customs duties.

Treasury & Banking

· Oversee group-wide cash flow management, banking relationships, and funding strategy.

· Optimize capital allocation, manage credit facilities, and monitor financial risk (FX, liquidity, interest rate).

· Support investment appraisal and capital expenditure (CapEx) planning.

Budgeting, Costing & Performance Management

· Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and cost management processes.

· Drive plant-level financial performance analysis, including raw material costing, OEE impact, and margin optimization.

· Implement KPIs to track and improve financial and operational results.

Systems & Digital Transformation

· Optimize financial operations through SAP (FI/CO, MM, PP) and IBM Cognos for advanced reporting and analytics.

· Drive finance digitalization initiatives, process automation, and real-time dashboard reporting.

Stakeholder Engagement & Governance

· Serve as the primary point of contact for banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.

· Present clear and actionable financial information to the Board, including risk exposure and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline (Master’s or MBA preferred).

· Fully qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent).

· 10+ years of senior finance experience in manufacturing, ideally in paint, coatings, or chemicals.

· Expert-level understanding of IFRS/IAS, tax compliance, and corporate treasury.

· Advanced proficiency in SAP (FI/CO) and IBM Cognos.

· Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
