Position Overview
The Finance Director oversees the firm’s overall financial management, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning across its accounting and fund administration operations. The role ensures that all financial processes, client fund flows, and corporate accounts are managed with integrity, accuracy, and in compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., ACRA, IRAS, MAS).
This position plays a key role in maintaining governance over both the firm’s internal finances and the financial control environment for client entities serviced under fund administration or accounting mandates.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy & Management
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for the firm.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor firm-wide profitability, cost management, and resource allocation.
- Oversee annual audit processes and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulators.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure full compliance with ACRA, IRAS, and MAS requirements applicable to corporate and fund structures.
- Supervise preparation and filing of statutory returns, tax submissions, and financial statements.
- Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard client and firm assets.
- Oversee client fund movements to ensure segregation and compliance with fiduciary standards.
3. Internal Governance & Process Enhancement
- Establish financial policies, procedures, and risk control frameworks.
- Implement system improvements for billing, accounting, and reporting automation.
- Review pricing models, fee structures, and service cost allocations.
- Support management in business expansion, mergers, and restructuring initiatives.
4. Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and mentor finance, accounting, and fund admin teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
- Coordinate with Compliance and Operations teams to ensure alignment across departments.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA/CA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including senior roles in fund administration, corporate services, or financial institutions.
- Strong understanding of Singapore’s regulatory framework (ACRA, IRAS, MAS) and fund structures.
- Proven experience in audit liaison, tax planning, and financial control.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Hands-on knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or fund admin systems) is an advantage.
