ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Finance Digital Transformation Manager to spearhead the adoption of emerging technologies across the Finance function. This role will oversee ERP tool implementation, cloud integration, data analytics and visualization, robotics process automation (RPA), AI/ML, NLP, and GenAI. The ideal candidate will lead opportunity identification, evaluate evolving tools, and manage a team dedicated to continuous innovation and transformation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Current State Assessment: Map and analyze existing finance processes, legacy systems, pain points, inefficiencies, and impacts on performance or end-user satisfaction.
  • Future-State Strategy & Roadmap: Define a strategic vision and actionable roadmap for a digitally reimagined finance operating model. Articulate synergies, dependencies, risks, and business value.
  • Project & Portfolio Management: Lead cross-functional teams—gathering requirements, defining challenges, breaking down solutions into manageable workstreams, and overseeing execution across the transformation lifecycle.
  • Change Management & Adoption: Design and implement change strategies to guide finance teams through resistance and transitions. Facilitate upskilling, reculturing, and engagement to ensure high adoption rates.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure alignment with accounting standards, regulatory requirements (e.g. Companies Act), internal controls, and corporate governance throughout transformation efforts.
  • Process Optimization & Automation: Continuously evaluate and redesign finance policies, procedures, and internal controls. Champion automation tools and robotics to drive efficiency and service quality.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Sponsorship: Develop compelling business cases and ROI analyses. Secure executive sponsorship and align transformation initiatives with finance and IT leadership.
  • Bridge Between IT & Finance: Translate finance needs into product requirements, system design, and functional specifications—ensuring that IT deliverables meet business expectations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other finance functions and business units to understand and manage downstream impacts of digital interventions.
  • Team Leadership & Innovation: Cultivate a team culture that embraces innovation, continuous scanning of new technologies, practical problem-solving, and high-performance delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA, CPA or equivalent required.
  • 15+ years of professional experience, with substantial time in supervision or leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in finance transformation programs, ERP implementations, target operating model redesign, or change leadership.
  • Thorough knowledge of finance processes (e.g. RTR, PTP, O2C, FP&A) and ability to challenge/amend existing practices.
  • Skilled in evaluating technologies including ERP (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft D365), analytics & BI, RPA (e.g. UiPath, Blue Prism), AI/NLP, GenAI and cloud platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management, presentation, and leadership capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity and deliver results within tight timelines in fast-paced environments.
  • Track record leading business case development, ROI modeling, and presenting to senior management forums.
