Job summary

Ambition Singapore is seeking an experienced Data Analyst - Finance Accounting to bridge Finance, Business, and Data teams. You will translate complex Finance requirements into data models and reporting solutions.

The role goes beyond querying data; you will perform end-to-end business process analysis across P&L, cost allocation, FTP, and GL structures, collaborating with data engineers and analysts to deliver accurate finance insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Finance Accounting SME in banking or financial services.
• Strong SQL skills for data profiling, reconciliation, and validation.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables and complex formulas.
• Experience translating business requirements into data models and reporting.
• Familiarity with GL structures, COA hierarchies, and P&L reporting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Finance Accounting SME for banking data, reporting, and transformation.
• Analyze end-to-end Finance processes, data flows, and reporting needs.
• Define data requirements, mappings, and business rules for dashboards.
• Collaborate with data modellers, engineers, and architects.
• Validate financial calculations and support UAT and issue resolution.
• Communicate complex finance concepts to diverse stakeholders.
