Job Summary:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting day-to-day financial operations. This is a hands-on role that requires multitasking, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to various aspects of the business in a startup environment. -

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Management:
1. Bookkeeping & Financial Records:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

2. Budgeting & Reporting:
  • Assist in preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.

3. Payroll Processing:
  • Manage payroll processing, including calculating salaries, deductions, and taxes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of employee salaries.

4. Tax Compliance:
  • Prepare and file tax returns, including GST, VAT, or other applicable taxes.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and reporting requirements.

5. Audit Support:
  • Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure all financial practices comply with legal and regulatory standards.

6. Cash Flow Management:
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Manage bank reconciliations and ensure accurate tracking of funds.

7. Payroll & Benefits Administration:
  • Support HR in managing employee benefits and payroll-related matters.
