Position objective and summary
- Provide financial leadership and formulate and revise accounting and finance strategies according to the direction of the Group.
- Formulate key performance expectations, execute financial plans and implement monitoring systems in alignment to business objectives.
- Manage financial related matters in the Group.
Main tasks / activities/ responsibilities
- Lead, manage and provide assistance and/or guidance to the Finance Team in executing their duties and ensure all relevant accounting standards are strictly complied with and updated
- Responsible for overall financial functions of the Group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
- Hands-on experience in managing overall accounting functions such as Account Receivables, Account Payables and General Ledger
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with current policies and procedures
- Review, analyse and prepare accurate and comprehensive periodic financial reports/information such as financial statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, budgets, budget-to-actual, and financial projections cash flow planning, management reports, forecast and budget reports and financial risk analysis of projects and businesses of the Group to Management
- Establish and execute internal controls over company’s accounting and financial procedures
- Provide strategic recommendations and solutions to business and financial problems
- Coordinate and liaise with external parties such as bankers, external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
- Handle audit queries and issues
- Actively participate in potential investment transactions & contribute objective perspectives in decision making processes
- Relationship building with financial institutions for company’s expansion financial facilities requirement.
- Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues;
- Analyze financial information
- Prepare relevant analysis to support Management decision making
- Handle tax matters to optimize tax liabilities
- Review and recommend or develop any operational changes (policy, procedures, processes and etc.) so as to achieve operational efficiency and improvement
- Any other financial duties that may be assigned from time to time by the company
Job requirements
- Accounting qualifications, with membership to a recognized accounting society
- Relevant 7-10 years past working experience in Finance/Accounting industry
- At least 5 years in finance leadership positions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Mature and able to motivate staff to achieve goals.
- Highly responsible & reliable with exceptional attention to detail
- Good reasoning ability and able to multi-task under pressure.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Must be fluent in English Language (spoken and written)
- Chinese Language would be a plus
