Job summary

The Straits Trading Company Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager – Group Consolidation & Reporting to lead its group consolidation and reporting functions in Singapore. You will manage consolidation journals, intercompany eliminations and financial statements for the group, while supporting audits and annual reporting.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of relevant experience, a solid IFRS/SFRS foundation, and hands-on exposure to Oracle/Hyperion.

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 6–8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, with strong Group consolidation and reporting experience.
Experience in a listed company is essential.
Experience with Oracle and/or Hyperion is essential.
Strong knowledge of SFRS / IFRS, consolidation, financial reporting and audit.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
Strong Excel and financial systems skills.
Experience in process improvement, automation or finance transformation will be an advantage.
Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual Group consolidation and reporting.
Prepare and review consolidation journals, intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
Review submissions from subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures.
Prepare consolidated financial statements, reporting schedules and hedge accounting schedules.
Support year-end audit and Annual Report preparation.
Prepare management reporting packs, financial analysis and presentation materials.
Support SGX results announcements, compliance checklists and Board reporting.
Support accounting policy updates and assessment of new SFRS / IFRS requirements.
Prepare accounting analysis and memoranda for significant transactions.
Liaise with external auditors and support audit and statutory reporting requirements.
Support Group budgeting and forecasting processes.
Review budgets, forecasts and key financial movements.
Prepare variance analysis, cash flow information and management reports.
Support Oracle / Hyperion and other finance system initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, automation and data quality.
Support finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
Work closely with finance teams across subsidiaries and business units.
Provide guidance on Group reporting, consolidation and accounting requirements.
Support and guide junior team members where required.
