A leading company in Singapore is seeking a Financial Business Partner to provide strategic finance support. The role involves financial planning, compliance with statutory requirements, and collaborating with operational teams to drive business performance. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, significant experience, and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Business Partnering
Serve as a strategic finance advisor to commercial and operational teams in Singapore and regional markets
Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to drive business performance, profitability, and growth
Lead financial planning and forecasting processes for the Singapore and ASEAN business
Support pricing, sales planning, and scenario analysis for new market opportunities
Account Receivable management
Ensure finance internal control as defined by the group
4. Coordination with Shared Services
Liaise with the Shared Service team to ensure accurate execution of:
Accounts Payable (AP) transactions
General Ledger (GL) closing and monthly reporting
Budgeting and forecast consolidation
Review financial statements and reconciliations provided by the Shared Service team
Ensure strong internal controls and alignment with corporate accounting policies
3. Singapore Statutory Compliance
Handle all local statutory and regulatory submissions for the Singapore entity, including:
GST filings, corporate tax submissions, statutory board reporting, and compliance with ACRA/IRAS
Coordination with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting to local government authorities
4. Oversee Representative Offices
Oversee financial, reporting, and compliance for representative offices
Liaise with local consultants or service providers to ensure alignment with regional finance strategy and compliance standards
Monitor local office costs, budgets, and assist in cross-border reporting requirements
5. Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and present monthly business performance reviews to leadership
Monitor and analyze key financial metrics including revenue trends, cost management, and variance analysis
Identify areas of financial risk and opportunity within the business
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field; CPA or CA qualification preferred
At least 6–8 years of experience in finance roles, including business partnering experience in a regional or commercial setting
Sound knowledge of Singapore statutory requirements (e.g., GST, ACRA, IRAS)
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to communicate insights to non-finance stakeholders
Experience coordinating with Shared Services or outsourced finance teams
High level of independence, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Proficiency in financial systems such as SAP; advanced Excel skills required. Power BI is advantage.
