Job Title: Finance Business Analyst
Job Description:
As a Business Analyst specializing in Finance, you will have experience in financial and performance reporting (statutory vs internal reporting) as well as IFRS 15 and similar.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements related to commodity trading activities, risk management, and financial reporting.
- A solid understanding of financial principles, including key financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) and metrics used in financial and performance reporting.
- Familiarity with financial analysis techniques and the ability to interpret financial data to support business decisions.
- Expertise in eliciting and documenting business requirements, including understanding the specific data and metrics that financial stakeholders need.
- Ability to translate reporting requirements into technical specifications for developers, creating clear documentation that aligns with financial terminology and reporting standards.
- Experience working closely with developers to ensure that data models and integration solutions support reporting needs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency for financial analysis.
- Skills in data mapping to ensure that financial data from Databricks is correctly integrated into DataSphere, involving understanding financial data structures and relationships.
- Involvement in the testing process to validate that the developed solutions meet reporting requirements, including creating test cases that reflect financial scenarios and conducting user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Strong analytical skills to identify potential issues in financial data integration and work with developers to find effective solutions, understanding both financial and technical perspectives.
- Basic project management skills to help coordinate tasks related to financial reporting projects, manage timelines, and ensure that integration projects stay on track.
- Understanding of the specific financial domain, including commodity trading and special metal physical trading, to provide context and ensure that technical solutions meet industry-specific financial needs.
- Skills in managing change, including preparing financial stakeholders for new systems and processes, ensuring smooth transitions during integration projects.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement, seeking feedback from financial stakeholders and developers to refine processes and enhance collaboration.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., finance certification) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a finance BA role.
- System Knowledge: Databricks and Datasphere (SAP BW) are both desirable.
- Knowledge of the commodity trading industry is desirable, including commodity markets, trading strategies, and risk management principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
