Job description

What The Role Is

The Finance Associates Programme (FAP) is AGD’s flagship programme to groom talent pipeline for Public Sector Finance. Associates on the programme will be rotated systematically to acquire strong foundations in key domain areas of finance, operations and policy formulation across the Whole-Of-Government.

Fresh graduates joining AGD under the FAP (General) track will be developed and given exposure to different finance functions to allow them to acquire necessary competencies which will accelerate their career development as they take on leadership responsibilities early in their career.

The FAP (General) track aims to develop Finance Professionals to take on apex C-Suite Finance and Governance positions across Public Service agencies.

What You Will Be Working On

You will be involved in developing financial systems and policies, driving the adoption of financial analytics across the Whole-of-Government, transforming business processes, preparing financial budgets and reports, managing Government's liquidity, internal audit, reviewing internal controls and evaluating Government's programmes.

You may also get the opportunity to undergo policy postings in Ministry of Finance and other agencies and be involved in policy formulation. Associates are expected to participate in AGD-wide projects to build their knowledge in Public Sector Finance.

What We Are Looking For

Functional/Technical Competencies

  • Tertiary education in Accountancy, Business, Data Analytics, Economics, or Finance related disciplines.
  • Applicants with no experience may apply.
  • Successful candidates will be required to acquire the relevant professional competencies or qualification if they do not have a recognised Accountancy/Finance degree/masters.
