Job Description
Collaborate with finance and business teams to gather data, prepare budget inputs, and update financial forecasts to support effective financial planning.
Assist in month-end and quarter-end closing activities by reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Help compile and generate detailed financial reports and analyses, providing insights for various business units to facilitate decision-making.
Conduct variance analysis and highlight key trends or discrepancies between actual performance and budget/forecast figures.
Liaise with different departments to collect relevant financial information and clarify data discrepancies during reporting cycles.
Provide assistance on miscellaneous finance-related projects or tasks as assigned, including special financial analyses, audits, or system improvements.
Ensure all financial documentation and records are maintained properly to comply with internal controls and audit requirements.
Provide ad-hoc administrative support as required
Requirements
A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Prior knowledge in finance or accounting through formal education or practical working experience in related roles such as finance support, bookkeeping, or accounting assistant.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, including the ability to create spreadsheets, use formulas, pivot tables, and generate charts to analyze financial data effectively.
Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and thoroughness in handling financial information, while managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of prioritizing tasks efficiently, balancing routine processes such as month-end closing with ad hoc assignments without compromising quality.
Basic understanding or hands-on experience with ERP systems like SAP, helping in financial data extraction, transaction processing, and report generation.
Experience or willingness to learn Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and financial reports that support data-driven decision-making.
Ability to analyze financial information, identify discrepancies, and contribute to continuous process improvements to support the finance team effectively.
