Job Summary:

This role involves working as part of the Finance Operations team where you will be working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Duties:

  1. Responsible for monthly updating and reconciling of cash book and follow-up on bank reconciliation items
  2. Perform monthly bank reconciliation
  3. Ensure unallocated receipts are matched on a timely basis
  4. Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve disputes and maintain unallocated receipts to an acceptable level
  5. Process claims, premium refunds and commissions
  6. Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly/quarterly Operation reports ensuring reports are delivered within the closing timeline
  7. Participate in process improvement projects which further enhance the efficiency of Finance Operation
  8. Cover for team members, where necessary
  9. Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. Diploma in Finance or Accounting
  2. More than 3 years in Finance Operation. Prior working experience in the Insurance industry is an advantage
  3. Hands-on, meticulous and possesses a positive attitude
  4. Must be able to work well under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  5. Experienced in handling volume transactions
  6. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and be a good team player
  7. Aptitude for learning new business/accounting procedures and technology
