Job PurposeThe primary aim of the role is to deliver forecasting and budgeting cycles, provide analytical review, financial modelling, and business case preparation across various business units within the Asia region distribution business and the Global Media & Streaming division.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities- Manage rolling quarterly forecasts, budgets, and LRPs; ensure accuracy and timely delivery of phasing, templates, commentary, and figures.
- Develop and produce monthly financial and KPI reports providing meaningful insights into the business.
- Conduct business case modelling and analysis for new products, events, promotions, and campaigns.
- Partner with business leads to project revenues and assist cost centre managers in forecasting costs and planning expenditures across units like Channels & Streaming, Content Sales, and Consumer Business.
- Serve as the key contact for BBC News-related finances within Asia, liaising with UK colleagues for global reporting.
- Collaborate with external partners to understand business drivers in broadcast and retail markets and improve processes.
- Utilise and enhance financial models used by the CP&A team across BBC Studios Finance.
- Understand end-to-end business processes and systems across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations, and create/update process documents.
- Identify system and process improvements to meet divisional needs.
- Advise on commercial and contractual matters to maximize long-term value for BBC Studios.
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience- Extensive accounting skills and experience in a commercial environment.
- Qualified accountant preferred.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Strong analytical skills for complex financial projects, providing concise and accurate advice.
- Proficiency in designing and reviewing financial models for business initiatives.
- Ability to deliver results independently or leading teams within deadlines.
- Effective networking and stakeholder management skills.

Education- Degree in Finance, Business, Statistics, or a related discipline.
