A global energy company is seeking a Finance Analyst based in Singapore. The role involves understanding and analyzing financial performance, supporting accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. Candidates should have a degree in Accountancy or Business and 2-5 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. This position does not support relocation.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Accounting, Reporting and Planning:
Partners businesses in understanding financial performance and highlighting key performance deltas as well as watchpoints ahead.
Provides accounting advice and information to support management decision making and highlighting risks/ trade-offs in the process.
Supports general accounting activities including General Ledger and Month End Financial Close.
Prepares, analyzes and reviews reports in alignment with corporate, statutory and management reporting requirements.
Perform validation checks, analysis and commentaries for income statement, balance sheet, cashflow and various performance metrics.
Support Business Planning activities using competitive targets and key drivers as well as managing the YTD forecast process.
Partners with our offshore shared services center to ensure due diligence and alignment on financial outcomes for Receivables, Payables, Fixed assets, Project Accounting, Payroll and Intercompany processes.
Ensures adequate controls are in place for both integrity of financial numbers and business processes including SOX controls.
Support commercial team in Free Trade Agreement management & compliance to Singapore Custom/FTA requirements
Coordinates and supports audits and prepares statutory government surveys, as necessary.
Undertake projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned from time to time.
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Accountancy, Business or equivalent
Between 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar capacity or external audit environment with a Big 4 company
Strong accounting knowledge (U.S. GAAP is a plus) and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with different stakeholders.
Experience using tools such as MS Office, MS Power BI and Power Apps to solve business problems.
Meticulous, highly reliable, and motivated team player with good follow through and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure in meeting tight deadlines.
Relocation Options:
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Selected candidate will be based in Singapore under the local payroll system and benefits.
